Road Trip! Let’s Head to Minneapolis

One thing we love about the beauty industry is you can take your skill set anywhere! Studying our programs in Iowa does not mean you have to practice solely in the state — once you complete the required amount of hours and exam certifications required by the state you want to practice, you can technically be ‘licensed to create’ anywhere! In fact, it isn’t uncommon for a student to come from out of state to the Aveda Institute Des Moines to study our programs and then return to their preferred state or hometown upon completion. We like to think of it as a way for someone to ‘study abroad’ for their interest and then take their knowledge and skill set back home with them!

Recently we took a current group of students to explore some salon and spa locations in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Throughout the year we try and plan trips to neighboring cities of interest to allow students the opportunity to explore different salon and beauty concepts. Plus, who doesn’t like a field trip with their friends?!
